Learn
different acoustic styles used for solo and group performances.
Various techniques include flatpicking, finger picking, chord
harmony, scale theory, alternate tunings, and slide. Using music
from the delta blues through today
students will learn how to make the music they are playing sound
great by focuses on topics such as tone, good timekeeping, and
dynamics.
Steel string or nylon string guitar are acceptable.
This camp is not limited to guitarist and open to all intrumentalists. The goal of this camp is to perform songs in a stripped down and "unplugged" setting. Use of amps are still necesarry but will be used sparingly and only when needed. If you've ever seen MTV Unplugged then you get the idea of the camp.
